Negative answers come from negative people who, deep down, are full of doubt and fear. Ignorance and intolerance are terrible traits that many religious people have.

Personally I dont care were you get your answers from. If you have guidance people are going to either hate you becuase you have a gift they dont or try to make out that God is the one and only source of enlightenment. The thing is if you live your life and know right from wrong then your soul will have an easier passage into the next level. Dream your dreams live your life and be at peace. As for positive and negative. Here is a puzzle for you. God created all life according to the bible. A female dog (cant use the correct term as it gets censored how sad) has a litter of puppies One turns out a loving companion and another turns out to b a mean nasty thing from the begining. How did the devil get involved in the negative puppy? As god didnt give free will to all animals and he is their creator. Does the devil have the power to mess with the creation of life it self?
Peace be with you

The mythical concept of "the devil" was absorbed into the early church to compete against Paganism, the term "satan" simply means adversary, or that which is opposed to an individuals perception of acceptance to standards imposed by dogma, doctrine and the institution of the church, this type of imagary exists on the mental platform only, through the indoctrination or conditioning imposed by church elders.
The image of satan or the devil is reflected from the Greek God Pan who is associated with lust or sins of the flesh and the Pagan God of the animals, which is a horned goat, another absorption is from the Vedic Purana's with the story of Daksa, who offended Lord Siva and for his opposition was awarded the head of a goat.
Pangel, it is most ironic that you embody the ideals of real Christianity, which is based on love, acceptance, compassion, understanding and a welcoming personable demeanour. It would be of great benefit for many to focus on these principles and qualities for their own personal development, to avoid a standard of hypocrisy.
The philosophical aspect of your question is answered in the Vedic literatures, that everything is coming from the Supreme, the perception of good and evil is relevant to the general mental conditioning of an individual, based on the acceptance and rejection of ideals and beliefs.
Having said that, it should be understood that there should also be a common standard, that common standard is that the ultimate purpose of human life, is to re-establish our loving relationship with the Supreme, because this is our original/natural position and is the constitutional position of ultimate happiness, real love however is voluntary, it cannot be forced, this original position can be achieved by following purely the instructions of the Supreme or his bona-fide representative, this process is not exclusive to any singular creed or process, when this type of religious/spiritual eliteism is projected, it places those adherents to this view in a lower position, whilst being deluding into perceiving the opposite, this is the real devil, the devil of pride that is detrimental to spiritual advancement.

Isn't it a bit presumptious crediting God with all the nice things and the Devil with all the nasty stuff? Perhaps it's all just part of the same thing - it's perfectly natural that there should be good and bad in the world and you don't have to make up stories to claim that one entity is responsible for one or the other.

That may be the general thought, but it doesn't make sense. Everything is of God, even Satan.
Besides, God gave everyone free will. So the responsibility of a lot of the bad and good doings lands on ourselves.

You know this is the thing- A lot of people think of Satan as this horrible looking monster type of evil- But did you know that Satan is so crafty and sneaky- he uses God's word to lead people astray, by twisting the meaning of scriptures- he causes cults- he causes a lot of people who say they are christian, to be led astray into other cults- who profess to live by the word of God...
Acts tells us to "seach the scriptures daily" and that when you are saved by Jesus christ- that the holy spirit resides in you and guides you into all truth. Your eyes are opened to the truth of God- and that is when the enemy has NO claim on you and cannot even separate you from the love of God.
To those who are saved:
"Ye are of God, little children and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world"
-Satan is the prince of this world- he uses so much to distract christians and keep unbelievers far away from the truth- He hates to hear the word of God- Satan has many tools- tv, computers, billboards, magazines....there is so much- and I pray for spiritual discernment over these things....The Bible tells us to beware of the enemy 1 Peter 5:8
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Genesis 3:1
[ The Fall of Man ] Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
Matthew 24:24
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.
--Satan even uses false christs and prophets- men who proclaim to be of God....It is crucial we KNOW what the word of God says and take it to heart- to Live for the Lord Jesus and pray over these things-

DL: The words of Jesus of Nazareth were of love and tolerance, of compassion for your fellow man. It seems a certain spiritualist is following them more closely then you are...

7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son[b] into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for[c] our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
13We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
