Probly a combination of both. Id say if you havnt been eating much protein then its more than likely muscle loss.

If you're not active, you're probably losing more muscle than fat. But it's not the end of the world. If you're sick in bed, you need to stay there until you get better. When you can work out again, by all means do, and get on a proper muscle building diet. You're only 16, your body will bounce back pretty quick.

You will lose fat before you lose muscle. If a muscle goes unused for a while it will appear to be smaller, but the slightest workout will bring it right back. I know, it did that with me.

you're losing both muscle and fat. I'm asuming that you're sick since you've been in bed for a week.
Don't worry when you're feeling better you can start to build your muscles back up. just don't do too much too fast.
hope you feel better soon!

you will not lose muscle in so short a time. Only way to lose muscle is through not getting enough protien in your diet. Your loss is most likely water loss
