The hair salon where my mom goes (and takes me) is having a Promotional Mother/Daughter appreciation day. Even though I am her son, the salon computer (connected apparently to some corporate computer) keeps switching me back to Miss, not Mr because of my name. So the salon changes it and then the main computer changes it back. So any appointment card always comes to me as Miss anyway, one more reason I want to change my name. Now my mom wants to take advantage of this promo because she can get something like $150's in a perm and other things at less than half price if I get $50 or more of stuff done, plus coupons too. She argued they made the offer in my name and hers and should honor it and the local salon agreed.

I am growing my hair , so I only want a trim, but what would be okay for me to add that might make it past $50 without being a big deal?

Highlights may be good (that's good for at least $50)

You could ask for a hot oil treatment for your hair. This helps with the condition of the hair. Also a nice conditioner is very nice.

Does the salon offer any other services? Would you be willing to have a manicure? No nail polish, they just fix your nails so they look nicely trimmed.

Just a few ideas.

It depends A hair cut- if your on about just a trim, then no, just do it at home or get a friend to help u out, if ur on about a whole new haircut or style then yes go to the salon, and a perm, go to the salon but remember you could just put rollers in your hair at home If you have plenty of money to spend go for it but if you would rather save your money, id try your best to get most of the easy stuff done at home, only spend that amount of money on somthing you couldnt do yourself x

Get a trim, a deep conditioning or cellophane, and a manicure and pedicure. All guys need to have professionally clean nail and toes once in their life plus you'll help your mom out.

Can you use the extra money towards what your mom is having done or the purchase of various salon products like shampoos?

you could start by washing your hairs and putting in it any product they can offer (if they use it it shouln't ruin your hair). you can later trim your hair and ask for the people to make one of those hairdos. you can maybe add having your hands and feet arrange. basically just go there and do everything thats possible!
