Hi,
Its fine to do that. They only put them in capsules because of the taste. I had do remove the powder from capsules for my mother-in-law, she can't swallow pills because she always starts to choke on them.
take care
regards.

yes the capsule is merely the container to make swallowing easier. Actually it would be absorbed by the body better and more fully if the powder were put into some kind of juice rather than swallow with the capsule.

I dnt think thats a good idea . I believe the pill is in a capsule so it is 'time released' - 2 prevent going all into her blood stream at once. Ask the dr or pharmacist 4 an alternative.

It is ok to do that but you need to consider that some medications use the gelatin coating/capsule so that the medication will be released lower in your digestive tract. Some medications can irritate and even burn your esophagus if you swallow them without the capsule.

Its perfectly fine. In fact, at work (nursing home) we put the powders and even crushed pills in apple sauce, pudding or something similar to make it easier for the patients to take.

Just be careful if it is supposed to be a "controlled or continuous release" formula. They make upset your stomach.
