i'm not a cancer patient or anything but i wonder how all this new knowledge affects me

not just Cancer but many frailties could be eliminated the problem is with that amazing potential comes many opportunity's for abuse we could breed a whole army of genetically identical people faster stronger more obedient whatever with identical genetics so they are all spare parts for one another in a battle situation that's as wild as i could think of off the top of my head but they cou.d also be used to make us more resilient to decease or with climate change make us better able to with stand higher temps the possibility's and dangers are limitless

Recently they used gene therapy to trick the immune system to combating cancer.
Gene therapy is also being used for genetic disorders.

You COULD get cancer or some other disease like cystic fibrosis, and then you would be so happy to get gene therapy. Support it, it could save lots of lives and maybe even yours one day.

I have a rare cancer. My grandmother died undiagnosed of it or something very like it, in the 1930's. I have four kids. I worry a LOT about genetic disease.
