the website does not have the option to buy but obviously I function as a working artist, is it against policy to ask opinion on this website?

It is not against rules to ask about opininon about your website. It is wrong to advertise your website on answers, saying something like this is my web site and go see it and buy from it.

Why don't you ask them?
E-mail the precise wording of your prospective Q, links and all, to the following address, and ask for their opinion?
answers-abuse@cc.yahoo-inc.com
It may take a few days, but they WILL get back to you.
Or, simply post your Q, and see what you get...
One Q (of this nature), even if determinined to be abusive, will not get your account suspended or deleted; you will simply get a warning - IF reported, and IF found abusive.
