Call a vet or a breeder that breeds her breed. I mean, if she's a Golden Retriever, call a reputable Golden breeder and explain the situation. They'll understand what you are going through and should be able to offer you some help.
Or, bring her to an emergency vet. They may not be required to 'register' her to treat her - I'm not quite sure what this 'register' thing is. No vet, emergency or regular, is going to turn away an animal in need simply because the dog isn't 'registered' with the AKC, the city, or the state.
A vet will be able to handle the situation in a way that you cannot. If you want the dog to be ok, then you need to do this ASAP.
Good luck to you.

Well she smells funny because of two things that is the natural smell of a dog when they are giving birth and because of the dead puppy. There is no way to tell if she has another dog inside her for me unless number one she is done with her contractions and number two it would be easier to know when she started and what breed of dog she is. As far as the dead puppy are you absolutley positivley sure it was dead and just didnt have complications breathing, I mean if shes giving birth right this second that puppy might not be dead, and you just need to suction its airways, but I dont know what to tell you, your dawg is most likely going to have a blackish green discharge too from the sacks that carry the puppies, you will know if there is another puppy in there when it comes out if you are not a dog you know expert or not experienced if you really think theres another puppy email me.

Honey, this can be classed as an emergency, so the vet will take her, failing that if there is another pup inside her she will vacate it eventually, it wont stay inside her, dogs do smell a bit harsh after giving birth, so that might be the problem, If she looks like she's in any pain, take her to the vet.

when the dog gave birth did she pass a black inky looking sack. if so that was the placenta and she should be clear if not she may have the placenta stuck but only way to be sure is take her to the animal hospital for a scan to be sure . if the poor animal is still panting heavy then she could have a dead puppy stuck in the birth canal and may need help from a vet to pass this puppy . either way it sounds like she had been dealt a raw deal by her previous owners .

Hi, sorry im from uk so the system may be a little different for u in usa. But my advice is to call the emergency vets...here you can get them by calling your regular vet and if its out of hours they give u the number on answer phone, the vet hopefully will come out to you as you already have a newborn pup there that needs its mum. Best of luck. But make sure u call the vet if you are worried as its the best thing to do to ensure your lovely lady is ok.... :)

what breed is she? if she is a small breed then a couple of pups are normal, is she still panting or restless?? didnt you try to resusitate the first puppy because sometimes thats all you need to do, was the sac that the puppy was in green & smelly? how long ago did she have the last puppy? is that puppy suckling?? will the mummy take a drink of water of food ?? if there is a pup still inside then it has to come out if not then she will die. there is no other option than to go to the vet asap. if you can answer my questions then i can help you more. wb

It is unlikely that she has any more pups inside her ..they normally drop every one of the pups dead or alive..
some times they give birth to 5 or 6 puppies ..
it's odd that your pet only gave birth to 2 puppies ..regardless the vet needs to see the animal in any case to make sure that the animal is in good shape after the birth ....

The only sure way to know is to take her to a vet, but if that is not an option, then maybe you could call your local humane society, or PALS. these resorces have helped me in the past(especially PALS) I don't know where you are,but in Mo. they will come get the dog, treat it and let you "buy" it back if you want.

If she smells that bad, then give her a bath and put a little perfume behind her ears. As for wanting her to give birth and get pregnant and all, my God what is the matter with you?? She had a tortured life and you're looking to breed her? Don't be such a dolt!! Quit using this poor dog to make yourself feel better!! I can't believe how cruel people can be. Good luck to you and to Fifi the Wonder Mutt.
