everything that could have gone wrong seems to have gone wrong. no one out there knows what my whole story is, but maybe you have any advice on what to do when it seems like everything is conspiring to make your great life a living hell. i'm starting to shut down emotionally cause i just can't take it anymore.

Your words are a clue. You said "EVERYTHING... SEEMS to have gone wrong." I would think that there is at least ONE THING in your life that is right today. Think what it is.

"Seems like everything is conspiring..." Again SEEMS and EVERYTHING. Think of one thing that is NOT conspiring against you.

What does "shutting down emotionally" mean? If you're feeling ANYTHING, then you haven't shut down emotionally.

You say you "can't take it anymore." The fact is, you CAN. It's a decision you make. You won't be able to take it if you keep telling yourself you "can't" take it. We believe the words we say to ourselves.

You made a few "all or nothing" statements, especially by your use of the word "everything." Statistically, it's unlikely that "everything" can go wrong in one's life.

Your word "conspiring" reminds me of something. I heard someone say, "When you do the right thing, the universe conspires to make things right for you."

I don't know if I believe that, but it's worth a try. When I feel bad, I take an action - something positive for me, or even better yet, for someone else (without them knowing about it). I don't know if it makes my life better, but I DO feel better for a moment or two after doing that. Try it.

There is no formula that will "make it all go away. We have to live life on life's terms, not ours. At one point this year, every time the ambulance letf the fire station, it was coming to my house! I can't walk, ever again, from a car wreak, my husband had a heart attack , my sister was on life support for 2 days, my aunt, who lives with me has lung cancer, my mother, who also lives with me, has congestive heart failure, and everybody's ailment was on a roll at the same time. We are a close family, and we all help each other, but DAMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything has a season. This is our season of hell, but I have an unabiding faith that things will settle down. I am literally watching things happen to help my family's problems solve themselves. I believe God!! I know the words of well meaning people are not much comfort to you, but prayers, doing the next right thing, and staying positive in the midst of turmoil will help you to get through. The best is coming!! I pray for love, peace, and harmony in your life!

Do you have one person who you can talk to about what is going on? Tie a knot in the end of the rope and hang on. Just reach out to people and make a connection. There is a lot of compassion out here if people know that you are hurting. Call a mental health warmline and tell the person that you need help. Best of luck to you.

prayer helps .they say if god brings you to it he will bring you through it. I don't know what you situation is but my husband and i both are out of work and i fear losing our home which we have been in for over 30 years. Try to think positive. you have a computer so do some searching about your problem. you'll be surprised what info you can find on the net. I wish you all the best and pray you get through this difficult time. God Bless

You haven't been specific Charger, we don't know what your problems are, but I would advise go through life's motions until the feeling returns. Many of us have been in similar places.

God is still in control. God loves you, and you are precious to Him. We have fantastic and glorious future in Christ Jesus. Eternal life and Heaven are gifts in Christ Jesus, for asking and believing. Never give up on life. Heaven can cure any earthly ills.
