Sounds like my dog. He is a chihuahua/rat terrier mix with all of the chihuahua attitude. I can't sit on tne couch for a minute without him getting in my lap, he sleeps in our bed, under the covers but the minute that I shift or try to move him, he's all attitude and starts growling at me. I've read article about chihuahuas and I guess that's just one of their character traits. I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done.

She is defending her bed. Many dogs want to be left alone when they sleep. While I don't condone an aggressive behavior, the best solution might be to either get her a dog bed that can be hers, or reserve part of the bed for her. Every dog needs their private space.

I have a chihuahua of my own and all i can say is..
females have mood swings regularly... get used to it my friend..
but what you can do is make sure you are the alpha/leader in the household... she mgiht think shes the alpha.. and thats why she treats you like that when she doesnt want it... better get her into obedience classes!

Well she's a chihuahua. That's what they are like. Plus since they are little dogs people tend to treat them like children which makes them think they are the alpha dog when you are supposed to be the alpha dog. Look into dog training that will train you to be better alpha dogs and her to be a better submissive dog.

the chihuaua breed of dogs are somewhat aggressive. the reason is because they used to be trained to hunt small animals.
