im writting a short story on women, from the other side of things. when i girls says your sweet what does that really mean? when you see a girl you smile and say hi but she gives you a dirty look whats up with that. just need info on the new things that women hate about men, like the words we use, the looks we give and what ever else you can give me to let me with this story. i have tryed going out to the real world and ask women but they think i'm up to something or just a weird freak.

Sometimes "your sweet" means simply just that. Other times it could mean "you're nice but I don't like you as more than a friend." On the smile, I think it depends. If it looks like a friendly smile than that's nice and flattering. If it's more like an "I'm about to hit on you" smile, if you aren't interested in the guy, than it's not appealing to a girl.

The "sweet" thing is about how you made her feel at that moment, like that warm fuzzy feeling. You've touch her feelings in a very good way. Also you are charming. If she's being sarcastic, just forget it.

When a woman says that she is sweet chances are that she is a real b i t c h and does not want to admitt it some women are total posers and that really sucks i will be one of the first to admitt that i can have my moments and where some things that men do kinda pisses me off i mean i am just recently single only been single for like three months and just kinda seeing someone for now no rushing and that is perfect but then i got all these other guys all trying to get with me and they cant take no for an answer and some men are so controlling even when u aint with them and think that u need to be protected like a child just cause you are a woman well it is a new day and age and women know alot more about self defense and self respect and men need to realize that some women can do it on their own without them coming and butting heads with the first man that talks to you and i think that we get mainly annoyed with a man's temper and need to be a man i guess u would say and also that when they dont get their own way most men act like they are two instead of their own age and that is just kinda sad.

well, ok. First: remember every 'girl' is different so things could have totally different meanings for each one. But in general: if a girl says you are sweet there are two basic options 1) she is a nice person and thinks you are a nice guy with good qualities, this could mean but not necessarily mean that the relationship could go further. Not to say dating or anything, but certainly friends.2) sweet means she doesn't want to say anything bad about you but she is not interested in dating.

The smile thing: a trust issue. Some girls have trust issues and think that you are after something, or are using a nice smile to "get in" with her. A stronger confident girl shouldn't give you this but someone untrusting who has been burned by this before will flash you the look of death for a smile. Best advice is to ignore it and do what you always do.

I think it's important to remember that we women are all different in our ways. But we all are more emotional than you guys I believe anyway. Sweet may mean that she is fond of you and she's expressing that, that the guy is a good guy. A dirty look could mean different things. It may mean she doesn't like you, it may mean ' don't look at me,' she might be angry, defensive, and the look might be a way of her keeping her guard up.
I'm a woman so the best I can do is tell you what my dislikes are, hope it helps.
You got to listen to me, don't ignore me because it's not attractive and I feel angry.
Open up to me, tell me how you feel, don't bury your head in the sand.
If I gave you a dirty look, it wouldn't be towards you but rather expressing a feeling inside me.
If I shout at you, you got to think if you've upset me. If you cant think of anything, maybe I have a problem. I could be stressed out, frustrated, ask me what's bugging me?
If I said you were sweet, you might have done someting nice for me. I wouldn't use it with a lover but more of a casual expression.
You'll get so many different responses to your question because us females are a species of variation, and what I say may be opposite for another. We're a kaleidoscope of emotions. Good luck with your story. Pack some emotion in to your female characters for sure.

One thing that I hate... that all guys seem to do.... is nod at you rather than saying "Hello". Saying "Hello" or "Hi" even a "Hey" is not that difficult... don't make me feel stupid for saying it and your response is a nod.
A girl usually tells a guy he's sweet when he does something either out of the normal or something that we only think happens in books or movies. Like when a guy reaches over and pulls that menacing strand of hair out of your face behind your ear, or when he grabs the eyelash that's on your cheek and has you make a wish. One time when I was younger, it was sprinkling really lightly outside and I was with a guy friend and he looked at my hair with the little droplets and said "there's pixie dust in your hair". Yes.. .it's cheesy, but a cheesy girl like me can appreciate that.
As far as the dirty looks go... it could be one of two things. Either one, she doesn't realize that she's giving you that look, or Two, you did something unknowingly to piss her off. Sometimes it doesn't take much for number 2 to happen. There isn't always going to be a clean cut answer for girls...

A: Exactly what it says... "You're sweet!" as in whatever you did/said was really cute.

A: If you don't even know the person/have never seen her before, you look like a creep. If you DO know them, either you did something to offend her or she doesn't want to be associated with you or possibly just thinks you're annoying. This one could be anything, really, depending on the situation

And nobody responded to you on the street because it would be downright creepy.

in today's world especially in the States, women think men are freaks that go up to them randomly on the street. And I dont think thats right. some of these men really think the girl is cute and wants to get to know her. Its perfectly okay to meet someone on the street, same as in a bar, club but for some reason women dont realize that.

About the sweet thing, if she is your friend then she justs wants to be friends you most likely.

and just the most important part- just be honest and sincere with women.

Here's my opinion of women in general>>>
When she says you're sweet, it means she likes you & appreciates your kindness, gentleness, tenderness.
When you smile & say hi, & she gives you a dirty look, she's either thinking you're probably a dirty guy who just wants to get into her pants... or... she's sticking her nose up at you.
Women generally want undivided attention, to be esteemed highly, effective communication, emotional love, plenty of affection, lots of compliments... & heaven help the guy who doesn't give it.
