Kittens can move around from the time they are born, however, they stay close to mom and the litter mates, so they don't move very far, or very much. Their eyes will open around 3 weeks or so, and they will start to stand up on all fours and explore and move around more then.

How old is your kitten? Most kittens walk around three weeks, well first their eyes open then they start to craw around for a few weeks before they start acting like lively little kittens. You should always take a new pet to the Vet. You should be able to get the answer about all your questions from your Vet...Good luck with your kitten...

By the end of the 3rd week they should be. It is sooo cute when they do. After they start walking you can hold the mom cat about 9 inches in front of the kitten to get them to keep walking. That or a dish of kitten milk (available at wal-mart and stores like that also pet stores.)
