Several good answers before mine. I would reiterate what others have said: watch what fabrics you're wearing and what foods you're eating. Never buy clothes that are mostly polyester. Watch the alcohol & caffeine.

I do not recommend antiperspirants because they contain aluminum chlorhydrate which is absorbed into the bloodstream. It's not sweat we're concerned about - it's the bacteria that grow in a damp armpit and cause bad odor.

I've had great sucess using a natural deodorant made with mineral salts. They are called deodorant crystals or deodorant stones and they work by inhibiting the growth of bacteria. A 4-ounce stick will last you about 2 years.

Very often hormonal changes can cause a sudden increase in perspiration. If you're at a pivotal point (adolescence or menopause) and you have other changes going on (mood swings or acne) usually taking the herb Vitex will help your body to get balanced again. It is available in capsules at the health food store.

Make sure you use something that has both anti-perspirant and deodorant in it. That way, you won't sweat as much and you won't smell as much. You might also want to use some perfume or body spray, just to prevent your armpit smell from being noticeable. Some people have stronger body odors than others. A doctor can help figure out if you need something that isn't over-the-counter.

Girl!! how are you going to say your armpits smell bad, but yet
say there Sweet. How about sweat. Wash your armpit with soap
and water and for now put on your deodorant and next time you
go to the store purchase a different deodorant. Keep trying
others until you find the right one. Good Luck!!

if you have an over active sweat gland this can be solved with medication for your doc , but first try some dettol on a damp face flannen gently clean the arm pit then use your deodrants the dettol helps to neutralise the sweat gland and reduce the problem carrying an excess of weigth isnt good either so if you are a bit over weight try droping a few pounds this will help enormousley .

Forget deodorant. Cut a lemon in half and rub that under your armpits. Sounds weird but it works. Also cut down on dairy products, they are responsible for a lot of the strong odours our bodies produce.

I had that same problem. I use antiperspirant now and have no problems anymore. Some say that the Aluminum Zirconium in it has been linked to breast cancer. Everything seems like it causes cancer now days.

Deodorant is just a substance applied to the skin to mask or suppress body odors. (Basically to cover up odor an odor) when antiperspirant decrease perspiration and odor. (helps prevent odor and perspiration)

deodorants will not stop sweating. Antiperspirants control sweat. Underarm odor does not smell its the bacteria that grows in the sweat that causes the odor. Most products on the market are antiperspirant/deodorant. a combination of both deodorant only products only cover up the smell. make sure the product your using is both and not a deodorant only. Dove makes a good product Degree is also good.

Change your deodorant and check the fabrick in your clothes. I found out that some fabrics make me sweat like a pig (silks etc) so I avoid them. Mitchum cool & dry deodorant and cotton shirts work best for me.

Eat a large portion of Italian stuffed bell peppers (lots of pasta sauce, Garlic), 3 times for 1 day. Next day drink large quantities of water. This will flush, and cleanse your system.
You will actually, smell the impurities coming out of your system when you urinate.

Make sure you choose a product that is an antiperspirant and a deodorant.

The former actually helps to stop you sweating and the latter is just a scent.
