Judaism is the ONLY religion in the world which DOES NOT seek converts, this is why there are so few Jews.
This, and the fact that Hitler killed six million of us...

Remember the Holocaust??
That's 8 million gone right there. And if you take into account the fact that those people cannot have children, then their children having children, and so on an so forth...
their numbers would be a LOT larger if the Holocaust had not have happened.
Back in 1945, the population of the world was what? 2 billion people? 8 million gone when the population was that small would be like 26 million gone in today's population numbers. That is a LOT of people wiped off the face of the earth, along with their future heirs.

They don't run around trying to convert people for one thing. Also, the world has a long history of persecuting Jews, christians seem to have forgotten for a few centuries that Christ was a Jew, as were all the disciples. The holocaust certainly didn't help, and now islam wants them dead. Being the chosen people is a hard job, but the rewards will be great.

Probably because wherever they go, they face some kind of persecution. Also, in the United States there are five million or so Jews, but about half will intermarry with non-Jews, thereby assimilating into the general population. Plus, they do not seek converts, so there is not a large replenishment of their population.

Jews have been killed and persecuted for thousands of years. Most people would rather convert to a popular religion that promises rewards for being a good follower.

Many of them were killed for believing as they did. Others converted to other religions to prevent being killed. The ones that are still around are the true survivors of the world.

Perhaps there are so few of us because more than half of the world's Jewish population was slaughtered during the Holocaust -- including two million CHILDREN.
The reason there were so few before the Holocaust is because the Roman Catholic Church tortured and killed all "heretics" which included Jews.
Jews don't seek converts, we only ask to be left in peace.

Because the God of the Jews only needs a small number to glorify himself and show His great strength to the other nations. This way if Israel survives, they can say it is because of the Lord God Almighty, not because of man.
