Expect to lay down be still and hear a "pounding" sound while the x-ray takes place. it will be a painless experience.

So sorry to hear the knee thing happened. I too know the pain of dislocation, I did so to my shoulder many times and both shoulders.
The MRI process is nothing at all. They have different types of machines and regardless of the type you'll be using there is no pain involved.
Since it is your knee you'll never even be in the machine past your hips so being claustrophobic shouldn't be an issue.
Sorry your dealing w/this.
Best wishes on the results.

I have a friend who broke her knee cap. She went back to the doctor 2 weeks later. Her doctor questioned her and wanted to know why she wasn't limping and why it wasn't swollen. She looked at a new ex-ray and said the break looked like an old, healed break. Not one from two weeks ago. WOW. Call me and I will tell you how she did it. 205-425-8586
