It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.
However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Southern apostolic is wrong because there is no salvation by any other name. The winesses of jehovah preach about the ransom sacrifice of Jesus opening the way for man to enter into an at-one-ment with God again. although the holy spirit us not with them in obvious ways like healing and speaking in tongues and stuff like that.
The early witnesses ( who were called bible studentsat that time ) used to celebrate Christmas too but stopped when they saw that such celebrations have theri roots in pagan festivals such as Saturnalia and festivals at the time of the winter equinox. nothing to do with it being Jesus birthday.
Jesus main commission was to preach, and to teach and make disciples and to each year at the time of the passover remember his fulfillment of that by observing the commemoration of the Lord's Meal. The new covenant was initiated at that time.
A person studies the bible and has to be able to give an account of their faith before being eligible for baptism. only after baptism can a person truly be called one of Jehovah's witnesses officially. Each baptised witness is an ordained minister and has their own ministry .
The Catholic Church does not know the truth so neither is it found in their version of the bible. There are few disimilarities between the king james and the new world translation which has omly been in use for 50 going on 60 years. before that the king james version was used so nobody has changed the bible to fit in with 'their' teachings, except for the church of rome.

Nothing in general, but I don't really like religious solicitations of any kind. When I was little, my mom made it my job to scare away any strangers that came knocking at our door; I usually just answered the door naked and cross-eyed. They left. THEN I got a job canvassing door to door for an environmental group, and realized it is hard work, so now I usually give Mormans and Jehovah's Witnesses and anybody else who comes to my door some cookies and a bottle of water, but still tell them I'm not interested. So I think most people's problem with JWs is the trying-to-convert-them thing (though most sects of Christianity try to convert people, anyway.)

The Jehovah's Witnesses need to realize that they are not really a part, and can never be a part of the 144,000. That is reserved for the Jewish nation. Read Revelation, it clearly states that the 144,000 are Jews recalled, by God, for service to His kingdom. As far as I've seen the only people coming to my door are caucasian(white). And what's with the whole Elder thing? They're always in their early twenties and really don't have the training to deal with really tough questions. When they can't handle them they say you have to come out to a meeting to get answers. Sure they're really nice. Why would you join a church with mean people.
About the things that are always proven in the Bible, anyone can prove just about anything when you take scriptures out of context. It's really easy to get your point across by only taking one little part and using it to your own advantage because that particular translation says what you want it to say.

I personally know many of them, they are my neighbors and their Kingdom Hall is close by,
They are very friendly, thoughtful. kind. and their children are well behaved. They are neat and clean. One of them works for me. He is the only one I can trust fully.
Although I have my own beliefs I listen to them and they allow me to express my thoughts.
I know the Bible pretty good and they use it a lot to prove their points.
I respect that. Now some of them who are new in the Jehovah's beliefs, they are a little pushy but as one of them said to me they just want to let everyone know what they learn from the Bible.
The Mormons are friendly too but not the same as J.W'S.In the Bible scriptures some times they don't quote the Bible not the same.
Peace be with you....

I love the people. They seem very committed to finding and proclaiming the truth. I just feel that they have been mislead in some doctrine and the distortion of parts of the greek text for the New Testament. For instance, in John 1, the greek language has no article before God, but the Watchtower Bible puts one in, which removes the deity of Jesus Christ - "The Word was God", not "a god"(meaning one of many), which later became flesh.

I have sat down with Jehovah's Witnesses. I know that there are certain topics that they will never talk about. Whenever I bring those up, they quickly skirt around and start talking about something else.
I know that the bible they believe in not nearly the same Bible that I believe is the Word of God.
I also know that Jehovah's Witnesses have a false understanding of me as a Christian. I have heard them falsly quote verses from my Bible over and over.

Acts 2: 38 Peter [said] to them: “Repent, and let each one of YOU be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of YOUR sins, and YOU will receive the free gift of the holy spirit.
1 Pet 3:21 That which corresponds to this is also now saving YOU, namely, baptism, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the request made to God for a good conscience,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 22 He is at God’s right hand, for he went his way to heaven; and angels and authorities and powers were made subject to him.
Yes, I've done both of these. and I continue to ask Jehovah thru Jesus for forgiveness.
Without Jehovah's spirit I couldn't come to know Jehovah the only true God and the one he sent forth. (John 17:3)

They have beliefs which are not Christian, and they have altered their version of the Bible to rationalize theur teaching, rather than change their teaching to fit the Bible. Why does God need a human editor? God does not make any mistakes.
------------------------------------------------------
...[JWs] use the Bible to support its position is a host of interpretive errors:
--Taking verses out of their immediate context.
--Refusing to read verses in the entire biblical context.
--Inserting their theological presuppositions into the text.
--Altering the Biblical text to suit their needs.
--Latching onto one verse to interpret a host of others.
--Changing the meanings of words.
--Proclaiming some passages to be figurative when they contradict their doctrines.
--Adding to the Word of God.
....The Jehovah's Witnesses vehemently portray the doctrine of the Trinity as pagan in origin and that Christendom, as a whole, has bought the lie of the devil. Along with denying the Trinity is an equally strong denial of the deity of Christ, the deity of the Holy Spirit, the belief in hell, and eternal conscious punishment in hell.

I have heard the claims of what the Jehovah's Witnesses profess to believe about the Bible and Jesus Christ and haven't anything against them (I have a half sister who is one) but I don't believe in their portrayal of Jesus who is not divine and other things they preach. Sitting down with them and trying to understand what they want me to believe is not possible because my faith is strongly based on traditional Christianity beliefs.
