I was just wondering if bellydancing helps to loose weight I have some weight that I want to loose mainly in the abdominal area, stomach and all, so does belly dancing really help you to loose weight and get your stomach tight and flat. Even though I have a little extra weight I need to shead, and how long do I need to do it before I see any real results.

Any movement helps you lose weight. But you wanna direct it to ur stomach i say do some stomach crunches and sit up. Maybe palates. That works really good. Im in the process riight now.

Bellydancing is a great way to tighten up all of your abdominal muscles. However, in order to see those muscles you need to do a lot of cardio to shed the fat. Just 15-20 min of bellydancing every so often is not enough to create a 6-pack.

The best advice I have is to do bellydancing 3 times a week or so for the ab workout and also incorporate running/jogging into your week as well.

Depending on your stats, if you run at least 2 miles three times a week with your bellydancing you should see significant results in about a month. It will take longer if you don't do any other cardio besides bellydancing.

Any activity can help you lose weight, and I've hard that belly-dancing can give you sexy abs. But this alone won't be enough, so in addition make sure you are dong some cardio, like brisk walks. To lose weight you have to sweat for at least 30 minutes, at least 3 - 5 times a week. My advice would be to go for a daily, fast walk and do some light weight-training. Building a little bit of muscle by weight-training will benefit you too because having a little bit of muscle makes your body burn more calories, even while you are at rest.

yes, it does, any activity does. Belly dancing does concentrate on the mid area though. It took me about six weeks when I saw results and I was happy my stomache was defined tone, and I can do some sexy moves.

If you can't afford classes, you can try the twins I think they're called vina and nina. They have many lessons and some focussed on loosing weight.

depends upon what you are eating as to whether or not belly dancing will help you lose weight and how long it will take to see results.

While you cannot spot reduce, belly dancing is exercsie and exercsie will help you lose weight - Where you lose weight will primarily depend on your genetics

From my experience I've noticed that any type of exercise will help you lose weight. Belly Dancing is diffently exercising

Definitely!!! Shouldn't take long and belly dancing is really cool. I saw some ladies in Williamsburg one year and that was awesome..

Any movement helps you to lose calories which helps to lose weight. The more vigorous the movement, the more calories lost.

no, its just you laying on your stomach but if you do somenthing that is showing action then is when you will loose wieght
