Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, or until it has just about stopped crackling.
Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Milk solids will settle to the bottom.

Well, when my aunt leaves the Country Crock out over night, it gets oily so you can probably just do that and then pour out the oil.
