I did a bit of Mixology in my club days and came up with this concoction. It is one of three yummy yum drinks i created..

The Navel Lick

1 Navel Orange
Half a cup of Passion Fruit juice preferably Welch's
2 Oz of White Grape Juice (if using Welch's Passion Fruit juice blend omit the white grape juice)
Half a cup of Orange Vodka
1/4 a cup of Lemon Vodka
1/4 a cup of Pineapple rum
Splash of Cherry Vodka

Take the biggest glass you can find and fill with about 4 or 5 ice cubes and a slice of a navel orange or use it as a garnish. Pour the passionfruit juice into a shaker and add the orange vodka then shake like a freaking lunatic. Add the lemon vodka and/or pineapple rum (depends on taster) and stir then pour into the glass add a splash of cherry vodka (optional) or 2 marschiano cherries.

Serve with straw or add another navel orange slice to garnish.

Remember you'll need a tall glass this is a party drink.

I have three recipes that all use rum.

¤The Mojito (my version)¤

What you need:

White Rum
Mint Leaves **EDIT** (did not read the part about the liquor store. For a substitute see if you can find a mint or peppermint schnapps. It won't be as good but it'll work)
Sprite/7-up, or Club Soda if you prefer
A Fresh Lime
A Highball Glass.
Ice

How to make it:
1. Put about 2 mint leaves and 3 to 4 slices of fresh lime in the glass.

2. Use a mortar or whatever to crush the lime and mint to get the the lime juice to merge with the essence of the mint leaves.

3. Add ice

4. Fill the glass 1/4 of the way with the white rum.

5. Top it off with the soda.

6. Stir it all up and enjoy.

¤Captain's Cream¤

What you Need:
White Rum (preferably Captain Morgan's)
Ginger Ale (preferably Schwepps)
Ice
Highball Glass

How to make:

1. Add Ice

2. Fill the glass 1/4 with white rum. (or more depending on how potent you want it.)

3. Top it off with ginger ale

4. Stir and enjoy. If done correctly, it tastes just like cream soda and you can barely taste the rum.

¤Jet Fuel¤

What you need:
151 proof rum (preferably Bacardi 151)
Sprite/7up
Ice (optional)
Highball Glass

How to make.

1. Add ice if you want to
2. Fill the glass half way with 151 rum
3. Top it off with soda
4. Stir and enjoy. It looks like jet fuel and is just as potent.

I have two- one is easier than the other to make:

The Dan-O (my husband created it and it's generally loved)
serve in tall Rocks glass
2 oz Bacardi O
1/2 oz triple sec
fill glass with equal parts oj & cranberry
top off with splash of sprite/ 7-up
****

The other drink is one I modified and is therefore named-
Michele's Mudslide
serve in tall Rocks glass
2 oz stoli vanilla
2 oz baileys
1 oz starbuck's dark coffee liquer
fill to near top with 1/2 & 1/2
splash of coke on top

Tastes like chocolate milk (with a kick!)
