Cucumbers are actually in the melon family so I would consider them a fruit (though I am not for sure on this). They may not be sweet but neither are Tomatoes and they are a fruit (it's true, look it up in a dictionary). Pumpkins are a type of squash so it is probably a vegetable, which is odd since it is usually eaten sweet. Go figure.
