When you say "the church" you apparently mean the Catholic church. Am I right?

Many Protestant denominations have "deliverance" ministries.

All tied together.

In the late 90's the US had only 6 official exorcists. Less than 10 years later we've got more than 300.

Largely, folks dabble in things they don't understand. Take the current "ghost hunting" phenomenon that's sweeping the US. Everybody wants an EVP. TV shows like Buffy, Angel, Ghost Whisperer, Supernatural, yadda yadda.

What people don't know is that most of what appears to be ghosts are demonic. Ghosts don't have that much power.

So people end up obsessed. Oppressed and Possessed.

Check out books like Ralph Sarcchie's "Beware the Night" or Ed and Lorraine Warren's "The Demonologist" or Fr. Malachi Martin's "Hostage to the Devil." Then read Francis McNutt's book "Deliverance from Evil Spirits" and Derek Prince's book "They Shall Expel Demons."

That should help.

You are slightly confused. The CATHOLIC faith believes in exorcisms using The Roman Rituals. But that's all it is, a ritual just like most of the catholic religious beliefs. The Bible speaks of people being posessed by devils and demons, but Jesus only needed to speak to them, and they departed. The disciples also cast out demons in the same manner as Jesus, but they were full of the Holy Ghost. Rituals and religion is what is full of poop, as you say, sir. God is real. Jesus is real. Satan is real. Demons are real. Exorcisms are not real. I don't think any other church believes in exorcisms.

The Catholic Church believes that demons and demonic possessions are very real things. The modern church, however, usually won't turn to the dioceasan exorcist until medical and psychological issues have been ruled out.

how does this belief show they are full of poop? demons are real and exorcisms are biblical based, Jesus performed them and so did his apostles and disciples. the cases are rare when the church needs to perform one but that doesn't mean or prove they are not necessary.

To your second question, not at all. If you do not believe in the Bible, then you think all church is full of it anyway, but if you notice, Jesus cast out devils on more than one occasion.

Possession is very rare, and in such cases, it takes more than
the individual can do on thier own.
What we really need to look out for is what is called an
obsession. This is usaully a lost soul that has not passed on
for whatever reason. They will find someone who is "sensitve" to them, hang around them, and harass them.
We do have telepathic ability, and can even "hear" ones voice in our minds sometimes. Any voice that makes you uneasy.
Telling one to hurt themselves or others, is one of these lost
souls. They are tryig to get you to come and join them.
All you need to do is be aware of these things and not FALL OUT!.
They need LOVE, not banishment to hell. Just ask your
Highest Power to take care of it.
NOTE: When I learned that a drug induced "blackout" is a
temporary possession by an entity trying to "GET OFF" on our buzz.
I GOT A HANDLE ON IT!

Excorcist can lower your blood pressure. I spend twenty minutes every day on the excorcist cycle, plus lifting waits.
