How has that effected your marraige?

No, because I worship Mother Nature and it is rarely a wise idea to attract her attention, he he.

Seriously though, I did pray WITH my wife before we were married and it made a big difference to me. Going into the relationship I knew we had a spiritual connection and worshiping with her let me know that we were spiritually compatible. Finding out that we were not like-minded would have been fine, but after marriage it would have devastated our lives and future.

See that little button on the top right corner? Use it.
No, I never prayed and it didn't affect any of my marriages. I am an atheist, and so were all 4 of my husbands.
However, I do think it is important to believe a lot of the same things, and to respect and love the other person. To be sober, gentle, and thoughtful.
If you have issues that prevent you from being grown up, like I have had in the past, you will have problems.
Now, my husband's happiness is as important as my own. I never fight and belittle him, or try to outsmart or confuse him.
I am an open book, and love him with my whole heart. I want the best for him, and for myself, and we are very compatible, and loving. Even ifhe hurts my feelings, I assume that he didn't mean to, and tell him nicely. I don't want to hurt him.
If he forgets something or won't go somewhere, it is fine, we are all human. i take care of it myself.
I hope to be with him till I die. I couldn't stand to be on the planet without him to play with, now that I've found him.

Dear daisykristina,

I am still praying that the Lord might give me a wife, though let His will be done. Perhaps it is not His will that I become married because we are so close to the end of the world (2011). It would be so wonderful to come home to a lady who loves the Lord and His word. To be able to speak with someone having the mind of Christ and discuss the Scriptures with would be a blessing. I do not know if you are familiar with Family Radio Bible Conferences but I would certainly take my wife where we could concentrate on the Lord. I love to go horseback riding and would love to have her with me to see God's creation.
I am so weary of the women of the world....I would love to meet a lady who loves God (1 John 2:3, 4).

Yes. I got my answer, and had absolutely no doubt that I was marrying the right man. I do not know if that prayer has affected the marriage directly. But the choice I made (about whom to marry) has been a great decision. I'm married to a man that I can talk to. We actually discuss our problems instead of shouting at each other. He's committed to the relationship, just as I am.

My husband and I were friends for a long time before we ended up dating. He and I had both been through divorces and were feeling gun shy. We had both been praying that God would put us with the person we were meant to be with, we found out later. We just started spending more time together, and fell in love. I wasn't sure if we should get married, so I prayed that if we should, Tom would stroke the side of my head in a way I like very much, but he hadn't ever done before. A few minutes later, he did just that!
We're about to have our eighth anniversary and couldn't be happier. We've had our rough patches, but knowing that God wants us to be together helps us stick it out and work it through.
