Me and my mom used to share a membership, and she did not live with me.

My parents live in another state created a business and added my brother and I. Before my dad retired his co paid for his membership I went to get a card and my brother had a membership (he used to work for the co in college) they gave me a spouse card (as my brother's wife) how you like that one and the lady at sam's did it.

Actually yes, they do check . Drivers license is their primary source.

NO, THEY ONLY CARE IF you PAY FOR IT AND IF YOU ARE THE CORRECT PERSON USING IT....my in-laws share it with the neighbors
