a friend of mine likes to smoke pot but has diabetes but does not need medication, won't that effect him? please let me know bcuz i'm worried about his well being.....thanxs

I would be far more worried about the long term proven mental problems smoking pot can cause. I have seen it first hand, people, some of them so young, in psychiatric wards. He could end up with long term mental health problems which can really ruin his life.

Also a lot of bakky is so much stronger now than it used to be....if he wants to keep control of his mental faculties....he needs to give it up.

Cannabis (pot) has no specific effect good or bad on diabetes. About the only thing it might cause as a "side effect" is periodic cravings for food (the munchies) that could cause your friend to eat too many high carbohydrate foods all at once and severely elevate his blood sugar.

Well, since marijuana causes you to have an increased appetite, he should definately be careful not consume foods that could affect his diabetes.

It won't affect his diabetes. But it will kill brain cells. And cause other problems with the body.
