I worked in food service & the rule of thumb is no longer than 4 hours. The longer you leave it out, the more risk you take. I would recommend that you put cooked food away as soon as everyone is finished eating.

I have left food on my table over nite & it was fine.Even Hubby leaves stuff in the microwave a day & he eats it nothing wrong with it as long as you don't leave it out that long.Hope this helps lol

If it contains meat or dairy products, no longer than a couple of hours. After that the contents start to decompose and harmful bacteria may be formed.

it depends on what you mean left out. like out of the fridge, youll be pushing it if you ate it after maybe 2 hours but if in the fridge, about 3-4 days
