There's this girl I like at work. I noticed that she would look at me, so one day I asked her if she had any plans for the weekend...she said that she did not have anything special going on, so I told her that maybe I could give her a call and do something together. She gave me her phone #. I called her and left her a message saying that I was calling to say hi, and that if she was free that night I knew this really cool bar that we could go to, but she never returned my call. When we saw each other at work on monday, it seemed like she was trying to avoid me; no more looks, or talking to me...nothing!. But a couple of days ago, we were alone in the lunch room I started talking to her and she was smiling, looking straight in to my eyes, and it just felt like there was something there. I also found out she's 18 (I'm 22) I did not ask her why she never returned my call. That same day, I kept going to ask her for work stuff, and she would make jokes, and smile as soon as she saw me...

Thanks for your help!...First I thought that maybe she was not interested, but when she told me she was 18, I was thinking that maybe that was the missing piece of the puzzle, and that she might like me but I probably scared her by inviting her to a bar...

She is taunting and tesing you.
Can you say D!ck Tease.

That is very typical of 18-21 year olds.
Find another woman and forget about this one. Usually when you ignore them for a while they start to come around and then thats when you dump them.

Maybe she likes you but she figured that if you found
out she is only 18 that you wouldn't want to date her because there are so many date limitations for 18 year olds. It sounds like she has a general interest in you. Ask her one Day if she'd like to go see a movie with you, I know kinda high school-ish but it might make her feel more comfortable. Good luck, love is great!!

The problem might be that you called her and wanted to go out the same night as the phone call, most women even if not busy don't like for guys to assume they are just sitting waiting for them to call, why don't you try it again calling earlier in the week with weekend plans and see how that goes.

she probably didnt want to go to a bar cause she is 18 and was maybe embarrased to say anything. you dont want to take a girl you like to a bar on the first date anyway, that would just make her think you are trying to get her drunk just to sleep with her! you should ask her to go to dinner, or maybe a movie! and i wouldnt ask a girl to go out on that night! ask her if she wants to go out on saturday night! but ask her like a day or two in advance! she probably really likes you if she stares into your eyes and is smiling! good luck dude!

Maybe she was sad that day, maybe there was a failure to communicate. I really think she likes you, at least as a close friend. Probably more.

Maybe you've just caught her on the bad day. Try again.
