Father in Heaven, I pray for Joy. I pray that you would open up her vocal chords that she might glorify you. I pray that as you heal her that her testimony would encourage others. I pray that you take the parents' "mustard seed" faith and increase it as they plant the seed in prayer. I thank you because I know that it is your desire that we be whole - physically, spiritually, and emotionally - for you are Jehovah Rophe, the Lord who heals. In Jesus name I pray - Amen

Psalms 103:1-3 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases

MY TESTIMONY: I had graves disease that took a year to diagnose. (By the time they did my heart would beat at 180 bpm) They had to remove my thyroid as a form of treatment. This required my taking synthetic thyroxin. Months later I became a Christian and learned about divine healing. Not sure if God still healed (young Christian) I only knew He could if He willed. So I asked Him to heal me - not so I didn't need a pill, but for His glory and HE DID! God has given me a new thyroid! It has been 10 years and though the doctors could never offer a reason I am still here and so is my thyroid.

Dear Jeffrey,

I am so sorry about your daughter. I hope that something will be done. However, the references to the Bible you made--the blind seeing, the deaf hearing, the lame to walk....are spiritual in nature. You see before a person is saved by God, they are blind (even though they may have perfect eyesight). An unsaved person is "deaf" to God's commandments and cannot obey them (though they may hear perfectly). Remember Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me; and I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, netiher shall any man pluck them out of my hand." In this scenario, the Pharisees were looking for a way to catch Jesus in His words but could not. If you read further in Matthew 25 regarding the sheep and the goats, you will find that the sheep represent those whom Christ has saved while the goats represent "religious" people who never had become saved.
I do not know how old Joy is, but if she can read, let her read the Bible--it is God's word. I'll pray for her also.

No it says that he WILL do these things literally. as in he will do them in the future. in jesus time many were healed for indeed Jesus went curing ' every sort of disease and infirmity' , curing the blind, touching lepers and even raising the dead.
In a figurative sense people are being healed spiritually as their eyes are opened ( figuratively ) to the truth of god's word the bible. The real fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy will be when god's kingdom is firmly established on earth afetr armageddon and mankind is raised to perfection.
Joy needs a miracle but it will not happen until the time it is supposed to.

IF there is a God, then according to all the official wisdom of Christianity prayer is useless. They tell us that God has already decided these things. That his decisions are final, and cannot be influenced by us. Either he has decided to make it so your daughter can eventually speak, or he has decided that she cannot. Supposedly, we have no influence and no ability to change His mind in either case. If this is so, prayer only serves to make us feel better, it has no actual effect on the way things are or will be.

I believe one thing you need to do is praise and worship Him. Regardless of what happens when you can get to know Jesus as a friend and honor Him as God, then often the Lord will move in mighty ways.

There is a tendency in the church to promote a man-centered gospel and not a Christ-centered gospel. So we mainly teach Him to be like a waiter to meet our every need. If you can draw close to Him, and worship and take time to know and love Him, I believe He will give directions for you and Joy.

I definitely will. Keep trusting in the Lord. Never lose faith. Faith comes to make you stronger. This is a test ... I believe Joy is healed. You believe, as well. May God bless and comfort you always.

It makes me sense undesirable for the individuals who're quite like this... If i became blind i could no longer be at right here typing this... if i became deaf i could no longer be listening to the music i'm listening to comprehend.... if i became mute i could no longer babble on like I do :) yet.. if i quite had to p.c.. one, i might chosen mute. nevertheless quite undesirable, and unhappy for the individuals who're, yet mute comes with quite some thoughts that blind and deaf do no longer

First off God bless your child. Don't foget that the Bible as we know it was edited by King James. He needed his people to be submissive which means he needed to make sure that the teachings of the Bible encouraged a certain amount of mental health problems. Believe more in your heart than in the teachings laid out by a selfish king. think of it this way, what would your father really want for you, or what would you really want for your child?

I am happy to join you in prayers for your daughter and for all of us to realize the love of God and to be more confirmed in our faith.
But I don't understand God's blessings as you are understanding.
Speech is only one of various means to express our glorious soul. If you provide her with the divine teachings of God, she will be able to express her soul with her dancing (instead of singing), with the computer, with the camera, with the painting brush, with the musical instruments... And in God's love, she will attain greater glory than any other men without faith in Him.
Just look around you, see how many people who use their precious physical senses to harm their fellowmen and conduct a life worse than death.
