I am going to do the same thing. I'm looking at a college that has a two-year radiology program. I have to complete some pre-requisites before I sign up for the program. These are college-level Psychology 1, College-level English composition, College-level Chemistry and Physiology, and Anatomy. It sounds like you need to enroll in a community college or a junior college where you can take your prerequisites. Talk to the head advisor of the radiology school you plan to attend to find out exactly what they require before you can sign up for the program, and ask her where is the best place to get them. Radiology is a wonderful field and very much worth pursuing. I did some research and the job has a 22 percent growth rate and it is something you can do just about anywhere, and it is one job that can't be "outsourced" to another country. Once you get your x-ray certification, you can branch out into MRI, Cat scan, ultrasound, mammography, bone scan, etc. A very good choice. Go for it! The previous answerer is wrong, you don't need to go through a 4-year medical school, but you will need to spend some time interning at various clinics.

Attend undergraduate school... if you're looking to be a radiology tech, then you can do that in undergrad school. Many schools offer radiology tech. degrees, that's what you're looking for. If you're looking to become a Radiologist (Dr.), you're going to want to get an undergraduate education (four years, pre-medical studies, perhaps a science major, doesn't really matter too much), then you'll go onto medical school (four years). You'll spend some time in residency (2-3 years at most), and voila! Radiologist it is.
