i think its "morbid" or extremely disgusting that they pretend to eat jesus' flesh and drink his blood at their church meetings. ... does that sound kinda cannabalistic?

How is it morbid? Do you even know why the person wears a dove/cross if not for a sentimental reason? A dove can represent many things just like the cross can represent many things.
Dove-
1. A person who advocates peace, conciliation, or negotiation in preference to confrontation or armed conflict.
2. A gentle, innocent person.
3. In Christianity, the dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit and the soul.
Cross -
1. The Christian religion; Christianity.
2. A medal, emblem, or insignia in the form of a cross.
3.common symbol of Christianity, intended to represent the redeeming martyrdom of Jesus when he was crucified on the True Cross in the New Testament.
You may think people should wear a dove while other think they should wear a cross. It isn't your decision to make. Why to some people believe Christianity is the right religion when others think catholics are the right religion? Everyone has a right to their own belief.

I don't wear the cross. Jesus is alive. He is not dead. And the symbol of Him on the cross represents that to me. But, for some it's a symbol of what Jesus had to go through for the sins of the world. I don't think it's wrong or morbid.

I wear my cross necklace every day to remind myself exactly what Jesus Christ went through for little old me. I even have a cross necklace made of nails, creating a harsher picture for me. Yes, a dove is a symbol of peace, but if I do not fully get a grasp on how much Christ had to suffer just so I would be saved, I would not be as thankful for His redemption of my soul.

Sorry, I also have never figured that out. A dove would a better symbol to wear. I guess people don't remember, he was crucified on that cross.

Good question! I personally don't wear a cross because Jesus is alive and not on the cross anymore!
I've always wondered why people tend to almost worship the cross instead of the savior who died on it.

the cross reminds us of the sacrafice and the glory brought forth from that sacrafice. when you see a cross remember the glory not the sadness. it also reminds us to carry our own cross and through jesus we can bear it. there are crosses that have a dove on it and other symbols aswell. the croos brings me strength to remember and realize the truth and glory of our lord.

well if you keep the cross as a symbol of your christiannity you probably shold know that it represent the pain that jesus had to go trough to save the human king the dove is more as a peace symbol that God used to tell noah that the great flood was finaly over.

I wear my cross to remember who I am & whose I am. It is a symbol of great love that the Lord suffered & arose from the dead. It is internationally reconized for what it is.

For me it is a reminder that death is not the end and that Jesus did not die in vain and to also remind me of all the agony he went thru to redeam all who chose to beleive in him and for our own salvation a dove is nice too also a fish wich means the spreading of the good word.

I wear an empty cross as a reminder of Jesus' victory over death. I wear it to remind me to act in a manner that would make Jesus happy. I wear it to identify myself with Him. A dove is nice too!
