Yes I have done it. It was about £14 when I took the course but that was for each module, IE, access, excel, word etc. Its all Microsoft Office modules. I had the choice of which ones I wanted to do and I found the books easy as they were "click here, click there". Its a fun course to do, you will enjoy it if you like messing about with computers. It does carry weight, hence the name ECDL - recognised throughout Europe. Yes it could lead you to further employment. If you enjoy the course I reccommend you take it one step further and try the Clait Plus (assuming that one is still available) Just askyour tutor which one he advises you take to take you further.

Yes and it wasn't hard at all (but you need to be pretty good at computers in the first place). Costs are different depending on where you study and length of course (but think £130). It is the standard needed if you want to apply for a job where you have to use a computer.

I completed my ECDL, It didn't cost me anything at the time as I was on benefits so I got the course free through Learn direct. If you go to www.learndirect.co.uk you can find out your nearest centre and prices. Most office jobs nowadays ask if you have your ECDL and yes I got a job after taking this course.

Driving a computer is a difficult task, one in which 1 in 15 people fail miserably. Mostly this is because they are too large to fit in the PCI slot.
I hope this helps!
