Cold sore or Herpes simplex, once you get it you're stuck. Unfortunately, the virus lies under the skin until something happens to lower your immune system which causes it to flare up. The sores should only last for 10-14 days. Anything longer than that see a dentist. L-Lysine is Great!!! Also any of the over the counters are great. To help you eat and drink dab an anesthetic (anbesol, etc) on the spot to numb while you eat. Make sure that when you do eat that it's high calorie so that you're taking in enough calories and drink lots of water so that you're not dehydrated. The dentist can prescribe you viscious lidocaine (liquid form of the anesthetic that dentists use to numb for dental work). Good luck!!!

The herpes simplex virus produces cold sores. Anybody may get exposed just from drinking someone else's drink, utensils, sharing lip balm, or kissing an individual that is carrying herpes simplex virus. Cold sores can be fairly sensitive blisters which might surface near the mouth, or possibly even the interior of the mouth or nostril, somewhere else on the face, or anywhere on your body.
They may come back simply because of elevated stress, the common cold, a fever, winter weather, certain foods, or possibly an excessive amount of sunlight. The area could begin to tingle, itch, or burn, and after that a new blister will show up. The blister can dry out and develop a yellowish crust. They can stay anywhere from 7 to 14 days. A person could try to mask cold sores by using make-up, although this typically helps make the cold sore a whole lot worse.
To reduce them, one might attempt using a cold sore specific ointment, apply lip balm with sunscreen, dab hydrogen peroxide, ingest echinacea, vitamins C and also vitamin E, and also definitely avoiding touching the cold sore. By just embracing several changes in lifestyle, it is feasible to prevent cold sores plus avoid them from happening again.

Surprisingly, the reply that I discover so much useful to that question is plenty extra functional than folks are making it, no offense, however what I do (the bloodless sore will have to be long past inside part an hour) is get a cotton change, drench it in water, then upload as so much salt as feasible till the water now not absorbs it, then (and that is painful) rub it violently (do not pass nuts) towards the bloodless sore.

EASY. Yogurt - consume it, yogurt--put directly on the cold sore, and be careful of the windy, cold weather.
Yogurt works in about 24 hours, yes only 1 day, and it's very low cost....just make sure it has the real acidopholus in it....and you can buy acidopholus (spelling?) pills in case you don't like yogurt.
Also don't kiss anyone while infected, as someone could be giving you cold sores...they are contagious.
I would give you the real name, but tha would scare you...look it up on google and other sites.

Wash well with a clean washcloth, soap and warm water frequently. use OTC Abreva and take Lysine capsules (in the vitamin aisle). If you can find the Lysine in a liquigel, pop it and put it directly on the cold sores.
