If you have a doctor write something that states that your condition is preveting you from leading a "normal" life, or being able to hold down a job.

NO. Social security does not compensate people for personality disorders of any kind. However, it is extremely rare that a person only has BPD. It is much more common for them to also have an accompanying mood disorder like depression or anxiety, and the accompanying disorder can be considered for disability.

It is a possibility if it interferes with your daily living skills. A doctor should support you. It helps if you have other ailments, too, such as migraines, other mental illnesses, back pain, etc.
