this country(usa) was formed largely to escape prejudice because of your religon, and yet there is still prejudice against religon, race, sex, color, nationality, sexual preference, and even opinion. why are our thoughts no longer our own? today our schools are filled with hatred, which makes for a unhealthy learning enviroment. same sex schools used to be a better learning enviroment, but now there is a constant fear that the person next to you is homosexual. co-ed schools are filled with all types of sexual harrassment and abuse. when does it stop?

Somehow it happened that "different" became "wrong." There are untold ways to be different and be right. Many prejudices are caused by fear, as well as ignorance. Think of how terribly boring life would be if everyone were exactly the same. Too bad some people don't realize how their lives can be enriched by people with different ideas.

There is always going to be someone who is prejudiced against someone else.....this country wasn't just formed to escape prejudice but also because a lot of folks were simply misfits in their own countries. People think it's OK to be prejudiced against other people, but not for other people to be prejudiced against THEM.

Ignorent people allow the media to guide them.....They are easily influenced by their peers. ;) You gotta admit that EVERYBODY is prejudice against something. None of us are perfect. I guess we tend to stereotype according to our experiences...It's human nature. ;)
