So I went to the movies with my girlfriend and when the movie was over, we went outside to walk to the car and all of a sudden, this girl walks up to me and gives me a paper with her phone number on it and says "I've liked you since I first saw you, here's my number, call me." or something like that and then she walks away. I just stood there for like 8 seconds confused trying to figure out what had just happened and my girlfriend gives me mean *** look and I could tell that she was pissed off. when we arrived to her house she just got out of the car without saying "bye" or anything. what should I have done?

And I quote:

"I'm sorry mam. I'm in a very happy relationship and am going to have to decline your offer."

Unquote.

Say, "that was strange." Then turn and give your girlfriend the slip of paper with the number on it. That way she would know you are not keeping the number and she can dispose of it.

I think the fact that it caught you by surprise probably put you off your game with your girlfriend.

I think she over reacted a bit, since you obviously have no control over other peoples actions..I would have just thrown away the phone number in front of the girlfriend.. so she couldn't say you kept it.

You should've told her that you're not interested in her and you're already in a relationship with someone else! Its all about competition, and others just won't take no for an answer! Also, you need to talk to your girlfriend about what happened-even though she was there! Explain to her that you're not interested in the other person and tell her that you love her!

Uh? Did you put away the number? You shouldn't have said anything, and made sure she saw you throw it out. But I think your girlfriend WAY over-reacted.

Well you should have just said "No thank you". But cant blame everything went real fast i suppose, and you were suprised by it. But i cant really understand your girlfriend though, she should have left you time to state your position, cause with that she demonstrated immaturity.

you should've said 'no thank you' to the girl... that you already have a girlfriend that you love a lot... you just standing there hurt your girl's feelings... the other girl must be such a ***** to do that in front of your girlfriend...

you should have thrown the paper away,as soon as the girl gave it to you, then you should have assured your girlfriend that you love her and you would never cheat on her.

you should have torn it up, thrown it on the ground and said "you're the only one for me" and kissed her. you would have got a good lead to third from your dedication. but ya blew it. just hope it happens again
