Disciplined, sure, but it seems to me that taking away someone's job is a rather disproportionate response to a single incident of something said out of frustration, even if inappropriate, which it certainly was, Catholic school or not.

It depends. If they made a mistake and they say s***, then its okay because it doesn't hurt anyone. But if they said your homework was a piece of s***, then its inappropriate language. This rule will have to be lifted for students first though in order for the teacher not to get fired. Just the other day, I saw a girl who swore and she had a chat with the assistant principle. If the teacher even thought of swearing, they should keep it down to a minimum so its considered "bad" to the students and the boring class becomes the next hot thing in the gossip world.

I used to live behind a Catholic school football practice field. I must say, I heard that same phrase from time to time. On a higher standard, Judge not, lest ye be judged. What the teacher said may not have been the best thing to say, but the termination is between teacher and supervisor. If this language happened on a regular basis, that is one thing, but if this was a one time occurrence, that is another thing, I would hate to think that we could not show children an example of making a mistake and forgiveness.

Regardless of it is Catholic or not, a teacher should probably not be swearing, espically below high school level. Fired, however, no.

I think she should be on probation, as in if she does it again then yes. because she should not be talking like that to students in any school, especially not in a Catholic school. you should tell some one, like the principal, but dont use her exact words without permission. if your principal says you cant use the exact words just tell him she said give me the gosh beaver house football. he will get the idea.

Some people, if driven to the edge of their wits, can and will swear. Maybe it isn't a firable offense. Why do you, or whoever torment her? Does this behavior amuse you, or whoever is doing this?
