Well, I think your really boy crazy. Being one of your best friends I can say this. And since he's opening doors for you I wouldn't worry about it.

Try talking to him instead. Why do you want a kid that has flunked his last year??? This doesn't look to good sweetie. Your only in the 7th grade so try not to take your mind off of what's really important and that's school. It's ok to like boys and everything, but if your going to like them atleast like one that is actually passing with his grades and doing well in school. It's not attractive to want a guy that has flunked his last year. Your too smart for that. Just have fun and be careful.

Try to get to know him, I mean you haven't even had a proper conversation (from the sound of it) and you're sending him love notes?! He is bound to be scared by this. You need to slow down and let things develop at a reasonable rate. You are only young but you will learn one day that men do not like needy women. You need to show him that you are a strong, independant and confident woman/girl. Men prefer these qualities in a woman from my experience. Go out, have fun, be yourself and try not to let thoughts of him rule your life. Make an effort to get to know him better before you rush in to anything and risk being hurt or making a fool of yourself. If nothing happens between the both of you it will be because you are not suited and at least you will have been true to yourself - there's plenty of time for you to meet the right guy. If it does then good for you, but never lose sight of yourself and your individuality
Good luck in your journey, I wish you well x

get to know him. just casually ask stuff like "whats your favorite band". the note might have caught him off guard, which could be why he hasn't responded, but just give him some time. be patient, he is in 6th grade after all, he might not be ready for a girlfriend.

Why do you want to date a guy who flunked a grade, unless it was kindergarten?

You should be chased, not doing the chasing. You should do nothing.

If he hasn't answered yet, he doesn't want to be bothered!
