A lady at church asked my help. A friend is marrying into a Korean family. The wedding party theme is a tea party. She want ideas for decorating that would honor the brides Korean family. Any ideas, especially inexpensive ones?

She should talk to the family first about their traditions-at least the bride. As Americans we can be insensitive to the cultures of other races. You can find nice things in the ethnic areas of town. Inexpensive things would use traditional colors-different flowers that have traditional meaning. Tea leaves are beautiful and inexpensive-try to incorporate them into the decorations or create bouquets for the bridesmaids from them
