Keep in mind that Akitas really do best with only one other dog of the opsite sex in the house they live in.
They do not do well as a pack dog or with members of the same sex.
They are a dominat dog and are not considered good with other dogs.
They do best as the only dog or as a male/female pair.
I have weims a male and a female and my sister has a Akita male he has known my Weims since he was about 10 weeks old they do not get along. He scares my female and will fight with my male. All of these dogs are spayed and neutered and spent quite a bit of time together. They were ok as pups and when the Akita was young but they are not ok as adults and they do not get along.

I hope the the male is fixed. Keep in mind that Akitas are dominant and can be really hard headed. On the up side the older dogs can show him the ropes. Good luck!
