He wrote many books defending the Catholic church. He was martyred for his refusal to bend his religious beliefs to the king's political needs. He was beheaded.

St Tomas Moore was a Catholic Bishop in Henry the 8ths
England. Henry want him to denounce Rome and confirm Henry as leader of the new Anglican Church. St Tomas refused and was executed
