I agree that the Bible has been copied over and over and over again.
My question is to those who believe it has been changed throughout the years. Can you please provide me some proof, with sources?

Best evidence presented will be chosen as the Best answer.

I cannot give you a source but I know one part originally said, "Thou shall not suffer an oath breaker to live" however the old English word for oath breaker was "warloga" so this the church took at "warlock" and therefore when the bible was rewritten the passage became, "Thou shall not suffer a witch to live" and then began the Burning Times.

This is the wrong place to ask technical questions and get authoritative answers, from yahoos out here. After all of these years since the first century A.D. if you take the latest translation of the Bible and get some of the manuscripts recently found in the Dead Sea area, you will see that no SIGNIFICANT changes have been made. That is, if you can read ancient languages. Modern scholars can do just that and there are books available to show this.

Ofcourse! The Latin Vulgate which preceeded the KJV by approx.900 years has more Books of the Old Testament. The scrolls at Qumran definitely prove of the acceptance by the Escenes who lived in Israel just before the last annilation by Rome, of the Book of Enoch. This Book was quoted by Jesus and by Jude. The Book of Enoch is the most detailed account of the "Fallen Angels". Also the most detailed account of the Great White Throne. The Book of Barnabus was, I think, included in the First Greek compelation in 330?, not sure of the year, but done on the orders of Constantine. Regardless of the changes. which can be read on the internet, we must still work out our own salvation with fear and trembling before our LORD. Because Almighty God is powerful enough to maintain His Truth for time eternal no matter how much people try to mess up His Word.

All ancient texts that have been hand copied over a long period of time undergo changes. The amount of change is directly related to the number of copies made and the amount of time that has passed since the first edition of the text in question.
In fact the amount of change can be accurately measured and used by scholars to determine the age and origin of a particular text.
Computer algorithms much like those used to determine DNA drift are currently being used to determine how texts have changed and what those changes are.
The changes are not just to specific wording, but also to the meaning of passages, as languages evolve so do the specific meaning of words.
An example of this might be the word "f.a.g.". In America is is used as a derogatory for male homosexuals, In England it is used to refer to a cigarette, but it also means "a bundle of sticks or twigs".
There is an excellent study done by Cambridge on the Canterbury Tales.

WRONG!! What's an atheist doing asking this question, anyhow? You don't believe in God. You don't believe in hell. You really don't believe in anything except atheism. So, why are you asking questions about God, and why are you condemning people to hell? You don't believe in either. First, God is NOT going to ask, or tell, or suggest to, anyone that the Bible be rewritten. And, there is n no second because the Bible WILL NOT be rewritten at God's command. Go learn about God before asking ridiculous, nonsensical questions about Him. Once you learn something about Him and His love, you may start believing. Go in peace. And, always remember: -- Jesus loves you!! Sincerely, Uncle Floyd

If you look at the Bible in it's original form and the New American Standard today you will see that the Word has not changed. For a Book that so many have tried to destroy it has more copies in circulation today then many other great writings many of which are just mentioned in other text because they are no more.
The Bible has held up over time because it is inspired by God and it is His Word written as God directed to others.
Therefore, the Bible, while it has been written in our language is still the inspired Word of God.

Well, I can give you an example of my own experience. I'm working on a book of my parent's letters to one another. I'm trying to type what they've written word for word. Luckily I have spell check - because I make a lot of mistakes (most don't change the meaning of their words, but a few have). I know that as you that it was copied over and over again by monks, writing by hand, that didn't have spell check.

But that doesn't mean there isn't the word of God in there, it just means it needs to be read with a bit of prayer and discernment.

best wishes

Proof would be difficult to provide as there are so many interpretations of the Bible. One thing that is proof is that God is real and in every Bible interpretations made God never changes as he remains the great almighty one. Amen..

Compare the King James version to the Catholic Doctrines that would be enough if not:

http://www.rense.com/general66/hide.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_James_Bible
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_King_James_Version
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_English_Bible_translations
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_English_Bible_translations
http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~revival/nine-lies.html

Now I'm not saying I don't believe I do, I just don't believe everything I read, especially when God is everywhere especially in our hearts whether we believe in organized religion or not but the Bible has been edited many time as a matter of convenience for the rulers of the time
