Be honest--are you? Alot of people seem to think of everything in terms of whay it will get them or how it effects them, even if it has nothing to do with them. Maybe he sees you this way, and if you are, that's a good thing to work on changing, regardless of this guy. It's a great thing to consider and care about the needs and wants of others, and to do things just because it will make them happy.

Lose him?

You don't HAVE him yet.

Find out why he feels this way. I've seen people with low self esteem think that others around them were too self centered when they didn't even have a center.

You say you know he likes you. Does he? If he's attracted to you physically that doesn't neccessarily mean he will date you. I know girls who i think are attractive and i'd never date them even if i was single because i don't like what they do or how they act.

what you have to do is first evaluate yourself, see if you are self centered and why. then make it a point to not be so self centered because that is a huge turn off for men and women. it instantly tells the person that you will only do things if you benefit from them and no one wants to be with someone like that. that's like see sawing by yourself.

Last time I checked, calling someone Self-Centered is a complete insult! Forget that guy! You'd be doing yourself a favor to lose him!

jogs my memory of this poem by James Wright: Autumn starts in Martins Ferry, Ohio in the Shreve severe soccer stadium, i think of of Polacks nursing long beers in Tiltonsville, and grey faces of Negroes in the blast furnace at Benwood, And the ruptured night watchman of Wheeling metallic, Dreaming of heroes. each and all the proud fathers are ashamed to flow abode. Their women cluck like starved pullets, death for love. as a result, Their sons enhance suicidally eye-catching on the beginning up of October, And gallop extraordinarily against one yet another's bodies.

Show him that your not self centered. Help others before you help yourself. Prove to him that he deserves you. Or just drop him and move on to some other guy.

Take a good look at your self and see if you think you are selfish. If he is really worth it than i would try to change, but if you dont think you are then he isnt worth it.
But if you really like him just try to put him first and do sweet things for him to show him you really care.

Instead of "saying" that you are self-centered. Do actions that will prove it. He'll come around if he really likes you.

Let him see you do something nice to him. Then make a little joke about it. If he laughs, you're good.
