good animal behaviorist to write to regarding problems with a cat as there is none in ireland

Denver Dumb Friends League has a behavior helpline, as does The Anti-Cruelty Society (www.anticruelty.org).

For veterinary behaviorists, do a search for Dr. Nicholas Dodman (at Tufts University) or Dr. Suzanne Hetts (Animal Behavior Consultants, I think). Both of these will likely have a fee, though.

You might let people take a stab at it here if you would give some good details on age of cat, indoor or outdoor, how many pets and people in the family.

I wouldn't know about a behaviorist in Ireland and did do a lot of work on the telephone for the San Francisco SPCA on issues of cat behavior.
