Wasn't she mentioned rather briefly in an old Hebrew text that is largely considered to be satire? It implies that she was Adam's "first wife" and now is a big player in hell.

Lilith was God's first woman, but she was too strong-willed and he tossed her aside and made Eve instead. The bible-thumpers had almost succeeded in erasing Lilith from all the books.

First wife of Adam, created from the dirt as he was. Refused to 'lay beneath him', as she was his equal. Was thrown out because she would not be subordinate. Went to the land of Nod (the place of exile). It is she that Cain likely married. She was transubstantiated into a demoness.
Lilith is a creature of the midrashim and the talmud, she is not mentioned in the Torah or Apocrypha.

Lilith was Adam's first wife. She rebeled against him ruling over her, and went off to live by the sea. She fertilized herself with serpents and produced the succubi/inccubus.
At least, that was one verison of it.
