Walmart/Kmart has locks and they even have set in case you need two. One for the front door and one for the back door. Usually it costs under $20.00 for one and maybe a little more if you need two. You don't need a locksmith as it's real easy all you need is a screw driver. If you don't have one, Walmart has them also, just check to see what kind of screw driver the new set of locks require.
Save the old locks to put back on the door when you move or to replace the locks on your new place.
Don't give out a copy of your new keys. Put one in a safe place outside, like taped to the under side of a chair or table. If you have an emergency there is your key, right there.
Once you have changed your locks, it time to have that talk with the parents.
Like someone else said above, it's time to put on your Big Girl Pants.

Solution #1: First of all, here's the obvious one: CHANGE YOUR LOCKS, GIRL!!! Call any locksmith; it will not be expensive. Make sure you give a new key to your landlord and maintenance people for emergencies (and duh to your boyfriend). The only reason I can think of that this wouldn't work is if your apartment complex forbids it, or if you have a lot of roommates that wouldn't let you do this.
Solution #2: How old are you? If you are over 18, you can call the cops on them, which is what I would do. If not, you could get yourself legally emancipated, but you would need to prove neglect (which you can't cause they're coming over all the time!)
Anyway good luck!

If I were you dear I would get the key off your parents, then when they next visit they will have to ring the bell. I have 3 adult children
and would never just"walk in", For the sake of your relationship
be firm with them without being disrespectful to them. or failing that change the lock on your door. drastic measures maybe but you have to put your child and boyfriend first.hope you get your problem sorted out, good luck to all 3 of you.

Tell them the key is for emergencies only. Or they need to call first before coming over. I would think after one time of catching you with your boyfriend in a weird situation.... they would learn their lesson!!!

Just tell them that you are fed up with their interfering. Demand the key back or better yet. Get the locks changed in case they made copies. I assume you are of age.

Tell your parents please give me some warning that you are coming in. Even if it's a knock on the door and then they enter. Something anything. I bet they have learned their lesson by now. Maybe they will think twice about walking right in.

Tell them that you would appreciate a phone call before they come over.
If they do not respect your request, you have no choice but to change the lock.
It is totally unfair of your parents to barge in on you, without warning.
