I have read different posts that appear that some believe that the Holy Bible is God's Word and revere it as a holy book and then I read some posts that are not coming to short of bashing the Bible. Which is it.... please

Okay, that's a good question, and my assumption is that it's a genuine one too. So here are a few points:

1. Muslims believe that the Qur'aan is the word of God, because it has never been changed or altered in any way. Not even one word.

2. We believe that the bible isn't the word of God because it has been altered and changed by man and there seem to be a few different versions (if I have that correct?).

3. The reason why you hear a few good things being said about it is because we Muslims do believe that some of the words are true in it, but a very small amount as it's been altered and changed. Mostly to also believe that Jesus was the son of God.

4. We don't believe that Jesus was a son of God. We don't believe that God has a son or any partner.

So in summary, some of the bible and Jewish scripts are also similar to the qur'aan and carry a few same meanings, however, we don't believe in it as being "holy" because it has been altered. And the qur'aan has never been changed since it was revealed.

Good question. Thanks.

The Holy Bible is a book from god to the people of Israel, sent with the prophet jesus, it was ofcourse altered and corrupted by the hands of Jews and others, So we don't believe that the book today is holy anymore, but we still have respect for all Holy Books, because it may still have some valid things, anyone who tells you otherwise has no clue about Islam.

The bible is mentioned in the Quran.
If its true that there is more than one version, this means it was altered. No offence, I am only making a point here, its common sense, how can it be the word of God if you have two/or more different versions? May be the first one was the word of God but it had someone made additions and another version came out? I also want to know this fact too.

All muslims MUST believe in all the prophets and all the books of God (including Jesus and Bible)...

The argument here is to believe in the bible that is available now (which is not the same one that was revealed to Jesus)... You see many bibles, but non of them is called Jesus bible... All are written by other people...

The bible with original language is also gone (and I heard that it's not even a written language, but I'm not sure!!)...

Any translation will make twists in the meaning (even if the original bible exists)... The real bible should be in the original language and not written by any human by his own words... It should be the words of God to be bible...

The Quran, is protected with it's original language (Arabic) and whatever existing translation is called "translation of the meanings of Quran", but never a Quran (as it might have many translation mistakes)...

I hope you got the point... We believe in the bible, but the original one...

Muslims believe that Bible is, rather was the true World of God. But now it has not remained the same as it was given to us as book of God. Now the contents of the book has been changed. The book is now a forged one not the original one.

This is the belief of Muslim.

One of the requirements for being a Muslims is that you believe in all the books of God. The Bible was sent by God, we just don't believe that it is in its original form. The Quran is the last book and corrects all that was changed and God himself promised to protect it.

Yes we do believe in the bible like the Old Testament eg. the Dead Sea Scroll. The New testament THE MATTHEWS and the rest was compiled and writen by Paul(Not by Jesus or any of his followers) who got nothing to do or even met Jesus.

The problem lies that the entire Bible including the old testament had been change troughout history made by man. Main problem is translation of languages. Because of that the MUSLIMS can't call it HOLY anymore.

We definitely believe that Bible was the very word of God. But we believe that it was altered over time. It didn't remain pure word of God anymore.

We believe Jews and Christians are the "People of the Book" as they were given divine revelations.

About the alteration in Bible, its not merely Muslims claim. Many non-Muslim analysts and institutions such as universities proved that the discrepancies in the Bible and other shortcomings make it very difficult to accept that Bible remained purely inspired by God. Please refer to my answer below:
