There is no such thing in life as a free lunch or free ipod. Sorry.

Welcome to the real world. As the other have pointed out, there ain't no such thing as a free lunch. I have noticed that some of the ads for a "free" ipod or computer or whatever now have some "fine print" that is hard to see, but there. It says "Participation required". In other words you have to buy a bunch of stuff you don't want or need, or do a bunch of surveys or something like that.
If you get right down to it, even if you get something free, it really isn't. In other words, somebody paid to have the item manufactured. It didn't just grow on the nearest tree. Somebody had to buy the material and pay the labor to have it built. A good example are the "free" pens you can bet from companies. They had to pay for them and to pay for them they had to include that cost in the price of their product. You don't see it, but it's there. No, nothing is really free.

When you think of the word "free" that means without attachments. As a person I know there is no such thing as free. There is always going to be some type of catch just to get you to focus on what you want for free. Therefore, you want an ipod nano, well in order to get it for "free" as one says, you have to do surveys and other types of nonsense just to get what you want. So techniaclly the ipod is not free and don't let anybody every fool you and say that it is free, cause guess what it's not.

The ads only say "free iPod", correct? If you are having to pay in order to reach the point where you can receive the free iPod while not actually paying for the Ipod itself, then they have not lied to you. They simply shnookered you.
Most of the modern music is crap anyway so just get a cheap old Sony walkman and some tapes of Mozart or Bocherini. You won't be disappointed. Especially the string pieces like cello and violin. Besides the Apple headphones suck.

Welcome to reality. It is a marketing scheme to sell the other stuff. I'm sure by now you have realized that the cost of all the other junk you have to buy in order to qualify for the free Ipod would have cost more than if you had run out and bought the unit from an airport gift shop.

For every so called "free" offer, there is always a hook or a catch. Like the people who have responded above said, and I agree, nothing in life is free.
Get used to it. It is a cruel, cruel world, Charlie Brown!

For everything that is free, has a price. Ask your local soldier.
