It tugs on your hair alot and can cause split ends alot easier. I have very curly hair for someone who is caucasian. I have found that using a good leave in conditioner with a moisturizing straightening cream works well when you use a Conair Heat Styling Brush. It is kind of like a hairdryer with a brush over it. It seemed to cause less trauma to my hair. I also use Biosilk with it or some other silicone gloss as well to cut the frizz and smooth it out!

I started using a roller brush and ended up pulling hair out from all the tugging. Too much tugging and pulling can cause hair to break or fall out. Use it gently.

I bought a FHI flattening iron (ionic and ceramic) and use a protectant on the hair prior to drying or using a hot iron. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum is the absolute best!
