I don't think you realize the hypocrisy in your question and it only proves your doubts in god which is good.If you personally believe that Jesus Crist is your god and personal savior then how can you say "If you had to be another religion what would it be?"That is hypocritical because if you believe in christ then you cant pick him over anything your question only proves that you doubt the existence of your god and that means your doubt in him puts you on the right track and that track is there is no savior now im sure that that feeling scares you but it only will for a while.God is the invention of man, man created god in his image and not vice versa,man did this as a means to control other men.Isay this as a means to remove the scales from your eyes so that you can see the light at the end of the darkness.You wouldn't have asked the question if you did not doubt your faith your solution is in the satanic bible reading it will teach you that the only one you can save is yourself there is no heaven of glory bright nor a hell where sinners roast you must realize that if you are ever going to separate yourself from the lies that they have taught you your whole life

I do not like to use the word "religion." For that is mans attempt in their best efforts to get right with God. Many different demoninations, or practices, that people follow that makes them feel like they can get in "good standing" with our creator. Thats why there are so many conflicts between these "religions" and people are fighting over it. Thats the result of tainting God's plan. We forget the reason Jesus came and died for us! He came so that we would have the true way back to the Father, and that He would establish the TRUE way of living. Thus, Christianity, which means Christ-like or little-Christ, is NOT a religion but merely the lifestyle of Christ that we are to replicate. Not by our own efforts, but made possible by the Holy Spirit in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Accept His Gift of salvation and experience the life of abundance. Dont make it hard on yourself when you know the answer! May the Lord Bless You Abundantly!!!

It amazes me how many people either didn't get the question or just refuse to play right.
I'm not a Christian but if I had to pick a different religion, I'd probably go Agnostic

I am a christian but I wouldn't be religious or legalistic. So religion, that isn't the freedom in Christ, wouldn't apeal to me.
But since I am the righteousness of Christ, I could be religious any way I want except in anything idolatrous. As long as I get the OK from God.

I would not be in any relegion. The word "christian" today is so vague to many- But what does CHRISTian, mean? To FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST. Those who have been born again of the Spirit of God ( John 3:3)
--Jesus Christ is not a relegion- He is the only way, truth and life- John 14:6
--And he is the only way to heaven! Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

You mean if I couldn't choose another Christian denomination? Because that's probably where I would look first...um, probably Taoist, or another eastern Philosophy, I find many of their teachings are very much in accordance to my beliefs now.

I wouldn't convert, period. But in a hypothetical sense as a Christian, since Christ was a Jew, I would choose his religion.

Even though I no longer call myself a Christian and I am and do consider myself "Born again", and a deep, confirmed believer in Jesus Christ I have declared my belief in another religion, the Bahai Faith and it's founder Baha'u'llah.
Abdu'l-Bahá the son of Baha'u'llah and the one Baha'u'llah said would understand His teachings wrote this inscription in an old Bible
"THIS book is the Holy Book of God, of celestial Inspiration. It is the Bible of Salvation, the Noble Gospel. It is the mystery of the Kingdom and its light. It is the Divine Bounty, the sign of the guidance of God."
(Abdu'l-Baha, Abdu'l-Baha in London, p. 18)
The Bible says:
3:12 Him that overcometh...I will write upon him
my new name.
(KJB, Revelation)
I believe "Baha'u'llah" is the "new name".
The Bible says:
7:20 Wherefore by their fruits
ye shall know them.
(KJB, Matthew)
Christians:
5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness,
but now are ye light in the Lord:
walk as children of light:
5:9 For the fruit of the Spirit
is in all goodness and righteousness
and truth;
5:10 Proving
what is acceptable unto the Lord.
(KJB, Ephesians)
5:17 Pray without ceasing.
5:18 In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus concerning you.
5:19 Quench not the Spirit.
5:20 Despise not prophesyings.
5:21 Prove all things;
hold fast that which is good.
(KJB, 1 Thessalonians)
3:5 Trust in the LORD
with all thine heart;
and lean not unto
thine own understanding.
3:6 In all thy ways
acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
(KJB, Proverbs)
To know if the "fruits"
are in the Bahai Faith you will have
to investigate it.

Be careful and pray :
2:15 Study
to shew thyself
approved unto God,
a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing
the word of truth.
2:16 But shun
profane and vain babblings:
for they will increase
unto more ungodliness.
(KJB, 2 Timothy)
19:18 ...Jesus said,..
Thou shalt not bear
false witness,
19:19 ...and,
Thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself.
(KJB, Matthew)
Also:
2:17 These are wells without water,
CLOUDS
that are carried with a tempest;
to whom the mist of darkness
is reserved for ever.
(KJB, 2 Peter)
2:12 But these, ...
speak evil of the things
that they understand not;
(KJB, 2 Peter)
Believers in Christ!
I hope we are avoiding:
"profane and vain babblings"
being a "false witness",
and speaking
"evil of the things
that" we "understand not"
Opps...!
I think...
I have a lot to work on.
