try a different shampoo and conditioner.
I know my hair seems to "get used to" a certain type and then it just stops working. I change brands after every bottle to stop it from happening.
Wish I could tell you why it happens, cause I'd sure love to know myself!

greasy hair is oily hair
Ok, now listen to me because I have had oily hair for way to long, but now its fine because of so much experience. I known this sounds werid, but:
1. The best thing to use for oily hair is talcum powder. Just use a little and gently rub it in, and rub it in good so your hairs not white! That takes away lots of oils. Second, if you still have oily hair, or just don't want to use talcum powder(by the way thats the white powder stuff for babies, but hey, it works!), use "witch hazel", damp a cotton ball into in and rub that in. Both these give off a weird smell, so I dont use it when I go out. Or, i put both these in, take a shower, then go and my hair isn't oily!
2. Now for the shower, I swim so I take a shower after practice and in the morning. In the morning I use "herbal essance clarifying shampoo", its green adn smells great, and at night i use "head and shoulders", they all work good(I have dandruff too). And keep away from any conditoner, just use shampoos.
3. After the shower, do not comb your hair. I just let it sit for a little, then I brush it, then I use a hair dryer, and then I comb it.
4. During the day, touch your hair as little as possible. The oils from your hands and skin go into your hair, leaving it more oily
5. Use a oil cleansing lotion on your face, to keep your bangs nice all day.
6. Do not get stressed out. This causes your oil glangs to produce even more oil!! Just melow fellow
Also, not useing hair products just make it worse because than your oil glands just keep on producning oil
Sounds like a lot, huh? Well, you get used to it. And hey, anything for beatuy right?

Touching you hair can make you hair greasy. Your hand contain a large amount of grease so try not to touch it all the time if you do. Other wise just make sure you are washing and shampooing your hair daily. You might try a hair specialty store such as Sally's and see if they have a special shampoo for oily hair.

Hair tends to get "greasy" after a couple of days because your natural oils are building up on your scalp. You need to brush your hair often to distribute that oil all over your hair--your hair will look shiny and healthy, not greasy. Also, you can comb in body powder on the roots of hair--this will help to sop up some of the oils (after you brush it out it won't look white).
Good luck!

Try to use a clarifying shampoo..your current shampoo could be leaving buildup.
Some people use a small amount of baby powder to absorb some of the oil, but if your hair is dark it will make you look grey.
Bumble & Bumble makes a oil powder that is tinted for different colors of hair. You should try those!

How ofetn do you shower? it could be that you are one of the types of people that overproduce oils in their hair there are shampoos that help elivate those problems. Shower at least every other day, use head and shoulders. Oil mi sgood for hair, too much oil isnt,.

Get neutrogena shampoo to clean off the hair shaft. You can use it with your regular shampoo as well. And wash your hair daily.

People hair only get greasy when they don't shower. I remember going to camping and didn't wash my hair for two days. It was really greasy. Try to wash your hair everyday like twice a day, if you don't like greasy hair.
