Be a man and just shave. I use a hunting knife like Dundee uses.

No, you can use a good cream facial cleanser. Shaving Creams only true purpose is to soften the skin before shaving so that you have less of a chance of getting cuts or irritated skin. You could even shave with body oil if you like. Don't use soap because it leaves a film on your skin that can cause breakouts.

I have lots of hair and if i didn't shave I would very quickly have a beard something like this guy. http://www.greek2me.com/images/beard-bushy.jpg. (this insn't me i just nicked it off google image search!)
I used to always need shaving cream before i discovered a trick. Basically its soap!!! but instead of making a lather with the soap, like when you wash your hands. instead wet and warm the soap bar and rub it directly on your face... much more of soap will come off and will create a waxy film that is MUCH better than shaving cream.
lol, i never thought i'd be sharing this stuff with a bunch of people on the net!!!
Cheers
Nick

The disposable razors with the lubricating strip work just fine by themselves.
