The wire burnt out on mine and got on fire.

not so long ago there was a programme on tv in britian,called watchdog,on this programme was a feature about GHD's,saying there was a fault with them,& do set on fire,take them back to the retailer,it shouldn't matter how long you have had them for,demand your money back or ask them to replace them,if that fails,go to the C.A.B,

same happened to me i took them back to the shop where i bought them and the women even gave me a ghd repair bag to post them in free of charge. just make sure you have a receipt thats less than 12 months gud luk
